Initial website concepts for the Philly Reps site
Coming onboard means
joining the family.
Khalid Stewart and Stacy Swiderski are truly passionate, talented and creative people. Every designer’s dream client. From my first meeting with the Philly Reps team, you could tell that they wanted to maintain that “family” vibe, not only with their clients but with their collaborators as well. They immediately embraced me as part of that family which led to a great collaboration. Alright, enough of the mushy stuff. Let’s dive in!

With the PR monogram already developed by Michal Tomašovič, the next step was incorporating the branding style into the site. Stacy and Khalid had a pretty pure vision of what they wanted the site to look and function. That vision was clean, not overly designed, with a focus on the imagery—Instagram-esque. The gallery work needed to be easily scrollable and user-friendly on both mobile and desktop sites.

One of my favorite parts of the site is “this must be what you’re looking for” at the end of every gallery page. This was tossed out at a meeting and I fell in love with the idea of adding a little bit of light-hearted fun into the design. We wanted to reward a site user for making it through an entire gallery (attention spans are short these days), by applauding their arrival and rewarding them with the contact info for that photographer. Their goal is to get exposure for their members, after all.

"It was great working with Colby Walls Design on our website build. He helped streamline the whole launch process for us, get us to go live in a shorter amount of time... and really made our brand shine!"

Final Thoughts.
The best part of this project, hands down, was launch day. Being on the phone with the team and hearing the excitement in their voices as they refreshed their browsers to a living, working, breathing site, was truly incredible. The launch of the site took Philly Reps from just an idea to reality and being apart of that is exactly why I love what I do.
